When it comes to recruiting, kickers are one of the most unappreciated assets by college football fans. But today's kicking afterthought is the guy lining up for a 40 yard field goal with 15 seconds left and a two point deficit.

Buffalo had a kicker lined up early in the class but after visiting the Twin Cities Jake Herbers decided he wanted to be a Gopher.

Enter Michael Cummings. The Clarkstown South product was a Kicking World Punting competition winner in April of 2014 and a 2nd Team All County Kicker/Punter in the 2013 season. He also won at the University of Pennsylvania FG competition this past summer and during his senior year was a 1st Team All League, All County, and All Section player.

He is going to be competing with Adam Mitcheson and perhaps others for the job left vacant by the departure of Patrick Clarke.
