It's Football Eve, and with inspiration from our friends at BC Interruption, let's pause to pull together predictions for UB from around the internet.

Athlon Sports: 5-7

Leipold, a highly respected Division III coach, is a proven winner and difference-maker, so it's only a matter of time before Buffalo is back in the hunt for a MAC East title. Since Turner Gill left the program in 2009, the Bulls have challenged for a spot in the league championship game just once (2013). The Bulls' success in '15 will hinge on the readiness of the new quarterback and wide receivers, and whether the defense can create a pass rush.

Paul Myerburg, USA Today:4th in the East

Myerburg also picked TE Mason Schreck and LB Brandon Berry as Preseason All-MAC selections.

Bill Connelly, SB Nation: 5-7, rounded up from 4.8 in the stathead's formulae

The schedule could help. Even with a pessimistic S&P+ projection of 109th, the Bulls are still given a 47 percent chance of winning in six games, and four of those come in the first half of the year. If Buffalo is able to exceed that projection -- and since a lot of this projection deals with recruiting and production from the Quinn era, that wouldn't be the biggest surprise -- then something like a 4-2 or so isn't out of the question. And while the conference road slate is pretty brutal (the season ends with trips to WMU and BGSU), there will be opportunities for a fifth and sixth win.

Sports On Earth: 5-7
