A few days ago, in a release that understandably passed below our radar, the Mountain West Conference announced that Twitter had struck a deal with Campus Insiders to broadcast upwards of 300 college sports events this coming year. Campus Insiders has broadcasting rights spanning the Big 12 Conference, Mountain West Conference, the West Coast Conference, and a few more.

This afternoon, at Mountain West Football Media Day, the conference announced a handful of September games that will find their way to Twitter as a result of the agreement, including Buffalo's September 17th matchup against Nevada.

Twitter is an extremely new, though quickly-growing, player in the broadcast business, new enough that I'm yet unclear on how exactly the game will be broadcast, but established enough to earn deals to stream Thursday Night FootballWimbledon, and just this week the NBA, NHL, and MLB to go with their NFL deal.

We'll hopefully have much more information shortly.
