2015: NIU was rolling through the season and could have won the MAC West outright if not for Ohio spoiling the year by downing the Huskies on black Friday.

2016 Outlook: Despite being the best football program in the MAC for a number of years NIU has had attendance troubles at home. So this season they have moved their Toledo game to US Cellular field in Chicago, which is about an hour from Campus.
