In the wake of Lamonte Bearden's departure, many wondered briefly what UB Men's Basketball Head Coach Nate Oats would do with his open scholarship spot. It appears today that he's gone with a late signee.
DaVonta Jordan, a class of 2016 PG from Montverde Academy (FL), tells me he just committed to the University of Buffalo.

This is an extremely impressive get by Nate Oats and his staff. Jordan was ranked 9th in the state of Florida by ESPN with a three star rating. He was also ranked as the 30th best point guard in the entire nation. Jordan will come to UB after playing at Montverde Academy. This is the same place that Buffalo native Howard Washington — who now plays at Butler has reclassified and won't head to Butler — went to refine his skills.
Before committing to Buffalo, Jordan received offers from Florida Gulf Coast, Tennessee Tech, Stetson, and South Alabama. He also started seeing attention from Florida State, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Creighton, Tulsa, and Providence.
There are a ton of things you can find on Jordan and we've rounded some of it up for you:

Welcome to UB, Davonta!
