Opponent Result Record Conference Record
Albany L 51-14 @ Buffalo 0-1 CAA 0-0

UAlbany football loses in first game against FBS opponent - College Sports
The University at Buffalo, the first Football Bowl Subdivision opponent to face the Great Danes, overcame an early 7-0 deficit and eventually wore down UAlbany 51-14 in front of 20,782 at UB Stadium.

Penn State L 27-10 @ Temple 0-1 B1G 0-0

Hey, Wha Happen: Temple 27, Penn State 10 - Black Shoe Diaries
Everything started out well enough. It was 10-0, the offense appeared in sync, the defense was dominant, and I was having fun. It even seemed as if the much maligned offensive line had at least become "mediocre". I cannot pinpoint the exact moment it all went to shit, but after taking that 10-0 lead, and racking up 128 yards, Penn State's offense be shut out, and gain just 55 yards the rest of the game. That's 55 yards in 51 minutes, and 34 seconds. If you want to get even more depressed, that's about 1.06 yards per minute

Florida Atlantic L 47-44 @ Tulsa 0-1 CUSA 0-0

FAU Loses In Heartbreaking fashion (again); Tulsa wins 47-44 In OT - Underdog Dynasty
While FAU's offense did enough to win the game by racking up 563 yards of total offense, the defense did not. Tulsa gained 618 yards with a majority of it coming against FAU's young secondary as 424 of Golden Hurricane's offensive yards were through the air via Dane Evans.

Nevada W 31-17 vs UC Davis 1-0 MWC 0-0

Nevada vs UC Davis game recap: The Don Jackson Show in Wolf Pack win - Mountain West Connection
In the first game of the season, in what was really a preseason game, the Nevada Wolf Pack defeated the UC Davis Aggies 31-17. Don Jackson was electric on the ground as he carried the ball 13 times for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns. Stewart also impressed in his debut as starting quarterback. As he went 13/20 for 163 yards along with a touchdown passto Jarred Gipson and a rushing touchdown

Bowling Green L 59-30 at Tennessee 0-1 MAC 0-0

FalconBlog--Triumphs and Trials in the BGSU Falcon Nation: Falcons Lose: Recap.
Yesterday in Nashville was one of those things.  Tennessee is a really good team and the best team BG will play this season.  Honestly, my view is much more optimistic than it was after last year's opener, and I saw things that indicate that BG has the potential to make this season a success and an improvement over last year.  Also, I have more confidence about BG's pre-season schedule now.

CMU L 24-13 vs Oklahoma State 0-1 MAC 0-0

Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. Central Michigan Chippewas football recap: Chippewas still impressive in 24-13 loss - Hustle Belt
Sometimes the ball bounces in strange ways. For Oklahoma State, the ball bounced back to its sophomore quarterback Mason Rudolph at just the right time to enable him to make an improbable completion. While Rudolph was in the shotgun near midfield, the snap sailed over his head. Unfortunately for Central Michigan, it only rushed three lineman on the play. The ball stayed on the carpet for what seemed like an eternity. Finally, Rudolph picked it up and heaved it in the direction of a receiver streaking toward the sideline. The play was ruled a catch on the field and if it was indeed a catch, it was just barely completed inside the sideline. That was it for the Chippewas. Oklahoma State was set up in the red zone and scored the dagger to go up 24-13 on CMU.

Ohio W 45-28 at Idaho 1-0 MAC 0-0

Idaho Vandals vs. Ohio Bobcats football recap: 'Cats use variety of weapons in road win - Hustle Belt
Like these two teams' matchup from early last season, Ohio had what would probably be described as a comfortable lead to most, but couldn't quite strike a death blow to the pesky Vandals. A garbage-time score from Idaho to make things 38-28 was enough to likely make some uneasy, but not a big deal in the grand scheme of things for Ohio football.

Miami W 26-7 vs Presbyterian 1-0 MAC 0-0

Presbyterian Blue Hose vs. Miami RedHawks football recap: New faces under center and at running back lead 'Hawks in opener - Hustle Belt
In a game where total offensive yards held almost no relation to points on the scoreboard, Miami took care of business in their home and season opener by taking down FCS Presbyterian 26-7.

Kent L 52-3 at Illinois 0-1 MAC 0-0

Kent State Golden Flashes vs. Illinois Fighting Illini football recap: Flashes blown out 52-3 - Hustle Belt
Turnovers doom Kent State, as starting quarterback Colin Reardon throws three first quarter interceptions to help the Illinois Fighting Illini score 28 first quarter points and roll to 52-3 season-opening victory.

NIU W 38-30 vs UNLV 1-0 MAC 0-0

UNLV Rebels vs. Northern Illinois Huskies football recap: Huskies win shootout in DeKalb, 38-30 - Hustle Belt
It was certainly closer that it was supposed to be on Saturday night in DeKalb, but the Northern Illinois opened the season 1-0 after a 38-30 win over the UNLV Rebels.

Predictably, this game had loads of offensive firepower. UNLV and Northern Illinois combined for over 1,000 yards of total offense. Drew Hare was remarkably efficient. The NIU signal caller completed 21 of his 26 pass attempts for 360 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Huskies were tasked with battling a pair of UNLV quarterbacks. Blake Decker threw for 319 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception, while Kurt Palandech added 42 yards on the ground on 5 carries.

Akron L 41-3 at Oklahoma 0-1 MAC 0-0

Akron Zips vs. Oklahoma Sooners football recap: Zips blown out at #19 Oklahoma - Hustle Belt
Both teams had something new to show in the season opener. For Akron it was a new-ish offense and some new lids that looked pretty awesome. For Oklahoma it was the debut of the "air-raid" offense put in place by new offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley, who was hired by OU in January from East Carolina.

UMass Did Not Play 0-0 MAC 0-0

2015 MAC football non-conference previews: Colorado Buffaloes - Hustle Belt
In a curious bit of scheduling, UMass has a Week 1 bye in 2015 before heading to Boulder for the season opener against Colorado. The Buffaloes, who finished last in the Pac-12 in 2014 but picked up one of their two wins in a 31-28 thriller over the Minutemen, start their season at Hawaii prior to the contest.
