As a wide receiver Lamour was the CEGEP Rookie of the Year and Division One All Star in 2012. He has, over the years, been an all-star at various levels in Canada and will bring his skills to UB, where he is being recruited as a defensive back. Lamour was being recruited by Rob Reeves of Minnesota and even paid the Gophers a visit but the Bulls offered him first and Lamour jumped on the scholarship opportunity. On a visit to Buffalo he had a chance to connect with Bulls QB Chris Merchant, whom he had already known from some 7 on 7 play last year in Canada. Lamour thinks that the Bulls, more than many NCAA teams, are showing particular attention to Canadian athletes and that is starting to pay off. In his words "UB is doing a good job recruiting us because they show a lot of interest in our skills". |
