Well Albany got over their week one drubbing in Buffalo by handing one out in conference play. They throttled Rhode Island.
UAlbany football routs Rhode Island in home opener - College Sports DJ Crook completed 19 of 27 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a score as the University at Albany football team smothered Rhode Island 35-7 in their Colonial Athletic Association opener this afternoon at Bob Ford Field.

We all saw the mess from a UB perspective. Here is what Black Shoes Diaries had to say.
Progress, By Default: Penn State 27, Buffalo 14 - Black Shoe Diaries Despite an uncharacteristically quiet Beaver Stadium, dampened by rain and disquiet and pessimism following last week's performance, Buffalo's offensive line committed a half dozen false starts, was called for four clipping penalties.

Next week we play an FAU team that has shown zero desire to play defense. In my view this is a must win game if UB wants to go bowling this season.
Turnovers Prevent Driskel, FAU Owls from Upsetting Miami Hurricanes, Lose 44-20 - Underdog Dynasty When the 2015 schedule was announced FAU circled their home opener against Miami as a must-see affair for the world to see that the Owls are no longer to be taken lightly.

Some consider this the "must win" G5 game on UB's schedule because "You don't lose to a team coached by Hofher". Yesterday Hofher and the Wolfpack were overpowered by Arizona.
Nevada vs. Arizona final score: Wikdcats blowout Wolf Pack at home - Mountain West Connection The Wolf Pack had no answer for Nick Wilson in a blowout loss at home vs Arizona.

Bowling Green |
W 48 - 27 at Maryland |

Bowling Green had a very impressive win yesterday. Maryland managed to keep the contest close for three quarters but the Falcons blew it open late.
Maryland-Bowling Green final score: 3 things to know from the Terps' 48-27 loss. - Testudo Times The Maryland football team took one of its worst losses in years on Saturday, falling to Bowling Green, 48-27, before a sparse crowd at Byrd Stadium.
The Terps allowed 692 yards of total offense against their MAC visitors, losing a couple of one-touchdown leads to fall by three scores. A 55-minute inclement weather delay prolonged a four-and-a-half-hour game.
I wish Maryland would get over themselves. They have 30 losses in four years under Randy Edsall (well now 31). You're an Indiana level team in the Big Ten and you lose to a team that has wond bowls, divisions, and conference titles over the past few years.

W 31 - 10 vs Monmouth |
1-1 |
MAC |
0-0 |
CMU destroyed their FCS foe.
Monmouth Hawks vs. Central Michigan Chippewas football recap: Bonamego earns first win 31-10 - Hustle Belt CMU took the opening kickoff and drove rather effortlessly to the Monmouth 22 yard line. A nifty pass from Cooper Rush to Mark Chapman on third and ten kept the drive alive. It was Chapman again on an end around to score from 11 yards out capping a 14 play 73 yard drive that took 5:56 off the clock. Chippewa fans are going to love the young sophomore Chapman. He is a skilled route runner with a flair for the dramatic which will endear him to the Kelly/Shorts faithful.

Ohio |
W 21 - 10 vs Marshall |

MAC |

One of the very rare times when I say "Go Bobcats" is when they line up across from Marshall. Yesterday was such a day and I was tickeld to see the Herd lose to Ohio (a lowly MAC team) for the third time in four years.
Ohio Rings Marshall's Bell for a 21-10 Win - Underdog Dynasty In the 14th meeting in the Battle for the Bell, Ohio captured its fourth win in five years over Marshall with a 21-10 win at Peden Stadium. Marshall tallied on 43 additional total yards of offense than penalty yards in the losing effort.

Miami |
L 58 - 0 at Wisconsin |

MAC |

Yes it was against Wisconsin but Miami looked extra terrible yesterday. While UB was going into the 4th at Penn state down 6, while Bowling Green was beating Maryland, and while Toledo took down the 18th ranked team in the nation, Miami got curb stomped.
Miami (Ohio) vs. Wisconsin: Joel Stave, Badgers' defense dominate RedHawks - Bucky's 5th Quarter Forcing four turnovers total (one on special teams) and allowing only 157 yards, the Badgers' defense -- along with another solid passing game led by Joel Stave -- overwhelmed the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks in a 58-0 victory Saturday afternoon at Camp Randall Stadium.

First the news
Delaware State vs. Kent State - Game Recap - September 12, 2015 - ESPN Kent State dominated Delaware State in the Golden Flashes' home opener, 45-13, but it was overshadowed by a single point-after kick in the second quarter by April Goss Saturday night.
Goss, a four-year member of the Kent State team and a former high school soccer player, became the second female to score in a Division I game in NCAA history. Katie Hnida kicked a pair of extra points for New Mexico in 2003.
Nothing against April Gross, I have daughters and encourage them in sports. That being said her extra point was not the big news of the day. She is a good kicker and she will get more points as the season goes on. I view her points like the extra points of a man... so what.
The Bigger news is that Kent Dominated a team. That's rare and may not happen again this season.

NIU got another slow start but bounced back in a big way, dropping 57 on Murray State.
Murray State Racers vs. Northern Illinois Huskies football recap: Huskies struggle early, pull away 57-26 win - Hustle Belt Stop me if you have heard this story before: the Northern Illinois Huskies struggled for a half in DeKalb on Saturday afternoon before pulling away in the second half. A game Murray State squad featuring a high tempo, pass heavy offense dominated for much of the first half, but still found itself trailing by 10 on the scoreboard. Much like the week before against UNLV, the duo of Drew Hare and Kenny Golladay proved to be too much to handle for the opposition.

Colorado turned UMass into UMess... Last season the Minutemen looks sharp against Colorado and this year the men from the other Amherst were expected to look better. Instead Colorado destoryed them
Massachusetts Minutemen vs Colorado Buffaloes football recap: Buffaloes stampede Minutemen 48-14 - Hustle Belt The Massachusetts Minutemen had high expectations going in to the 2015 season. They talked openly about how winning the MAC Championship is their ultimate goal, and about how they want to be the first team in school history to represent UMass in an FBS bowl game. The Colorado Buffaloes also had high expectations going in to this season, as they want to show they were not the same team that won two games in 2014 and make it to a bowl of their own.
