Osborn left his hometown of Ypsilanti last year to enroll at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. More than 120 Division I coaches visited IMG Academy football practices in May, resulting in Osborn picking up three initial offers. Then he went though his season at IMG, securing seven touchdown passes and 379 receiving yards in 11 games. He came up to Buffalo for an official visit this January and quickly connected to the new coaching staff. "I really like the new coaching staff. I like the head coach and the guys he hired. I really like the receivers coach, Rob Ianello. He actually recruited my head coach, Chris Weinke, out of high school. I really like his experience and I just felt comfortable with him when he was teaching me while we were breaking down film." At the time of his commitment his longtime teammate, Tyler Mabry, was committed to Southern Illinois, "It was a tough decision for me, one of my good friends is currently committed to Southern Illinois." It made his commitment to Buffalo difficult but Osborn believed the Bulls were the best fit for him. After his commitment Mabry flipped from SIU to Buffalo. |
