Drew Willy and the Blue Bombers beat Montreal

Richard Wolowicz

Its something that Buffalo Bulls fans have seen too many times to recount. A clutch drive driven by Drew Willy passing late in a game. Tonight down by five points with 28 seconds remaining, Willy hooked up with Julian Feoli-Gudino for a 17-yard touchdown to give the Blue Bombers a thrilling 34-33 victory over the Alouettes on Friday Night Football. With the Win Winnipeg moves to 3-0.

Drew had his most humble game of the season. Willy was good on 24 of his 38 passes for 256 yards but his one touchdown came on a drive in which he converted two third down attempts. But during the last minute of the game Willy once again gave the Blue Bomber faithful a reason to look forward to "Willy Time".

With less than a minute remaining in the game, and the game seemingly over for the Bombers, Willy orchestrated a clutch 10-play, 65-yard drive that saw the young gunslinger hook up with Feoli-Gudino for a touchdown with exactly 28 seconds left.

Next week the Blue Bombers will return home to take on Edmonton Eskimos who as of tonight are the only other undefeated team in the CFL.
