First Team
Guards
- Stephanie Reid (2014-2018): all-time leader in assists at UB, and probably the best point guard ever in program history. She made "The Shot" as it is known around the Miller household. Quarterbacked the team to a Sweet Sixteen appearance as a senior. Her signature move was the drive down the lane, euro-step and lay the ball in off the glass, regardless of whether or not an opposing big player was there.
- Cierra Dillard (2017-2019): Prolific scorer, wound up finishing 2nd in the nation in scoring as a senior at 25.2 points per game. Both years she played at UB, the Bulls made the NCAA tournament and won their first round game; Dillard's 36 points against South Florida and 22 against Florida State in the 2017 NCAA tournament helped lead UB to a Sweet 16 berth. Owns single game UB scoring record with 43. Made a 90-foot pass at the buzzer to help defeat Northern Illinois. Only UB women's basketball player to be drafted by the WNBA. She played with moves and style that are rarely seen in women's basketball (except maybe for Dyaisha Fair, but that's a different decade).
Forwards
- Kristen Sharkey (2010-2015): a prolific scorer and fierce rebounder, she set a career high of 36 points against Ball State as a junior. Led the team in rebounding as a junior and led the team in both scoring and rebounding as a senior. Sharkey finished 4th in the MAC in rebounding as a junior and 5th in the MAC in rebounding as a senior.
- Summer Hemphill (2016-present): another strong offensive weapon at the forward position, Hemphill has led the team in shooting percentage her first three years with the Bulls, leading the MAC in that category as a junior. She has also led the team in rebounding her first three years.
Center
- Kourtney Brown, despite standing only 6–1 and being slightly built, put up some huge numbers as a junior, earning her the MAC Defensive Player of the Year award in 2010, averaging 17.8 points and 11.5 rebounds per game and shooting 56.5% and blocked shots (2.1), the last three leading the MAC. And then she had an ever stronger senior year, leading the MAC in scoring (22.1), rebounding (11.6), blocked shots (3.25 YIKES) and field goal percentage (58.9%) and taking home both MAC Player of the Year and MAC Defensive Player of the Year awards.
Second Team
Guards:
- Brittany Hedderson (2008-2012), First Team All-MAC 2012
- Mackenzie Loesing (2012-2015) All-Freshman team in 2013, Second Team All-MAC in 2014 and Third Team All-MAC in 2015
- JoAnna Smith (2013-2017), First Team All-MAC in 2016, Second Team All-MAC in 2017
Forwards:
I don't have any names on the Second Team list at this position. Help me out on this one. Anyway, I'll name two centers.
Center:
- Christa Baccas (2011-2015), led the MAC in blocked shots twice and was MAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2015
- Cassie Oursler (2015-2018): Second team All-MAC in 2018, when she averaged 12.7 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game and shot 49.7%.
Player of the Decade
Dillard. No, Reid. No Dillard. Reid! Dillard! Brown! Dillard! Wait ... Reid Dillard Brown ...
Oy vey, I can't decide, help me out. Reid? Dillard? Boy this is a tough one.
Okay, this is why Bull Run pays me the big bucks, I'm going to go with Dillard, even though she only played two years, they were two amazing seasons.
Play of the Decade
"The Shot" by Reid in the MAC Championship game in 2016 at the buzzer in overtime, and UB went from "eight place to history" and their first ever NCAA Tournament.
