Minor League Monday - Murphy Still Hammering Away

Kind of a quiet week news-wise but Murphy is still tearing things up in AAA.

Tom Murphy's hot streak has not cooled in the least. He started the month batting .208 and is up to .294.

In two games Murphy was 7 for 9, he two runs and scored 3. He hit for the cycle on Thursday night versus Memphis.

Steve Geltz is still getting his feet back under him in Durham. It's been a really rough year for the reliever but this past week he has put in two games and kept opponents off the boards in both games.

Mike Burke got roughed up a bit on Tuesday but managed to get back on track for his second game of the week. Even after giving up four runs against Columbia, Burke has kept his overall ERA to 2.19 on the season.

Nick Sinay was having a pretty good week until an 0-8 performance in a 20 inning loss to Greeneville. Sinay is still batting better than 300 on the season even after the showing.

Mike Kaelin took his first loss eleven days ago but has since put in four innings at Burlington. On the season he is throwing with an ERA of 3.12.
