Munch Madness - Old Man River vs. Gabriel's Gate

Buffalo and WNY has some amazing places to eat. At Bull Run you will decide the best place! So far we have big wins by Bocce Club Pizza (Anchor Bar), Brennan's (Trattoria Aroma), Cantina Loco (Tempo), Charlie the Butcher (Salvatore's), Chiavetta's (Red Pepper), Duff's (Oliver's), Gadawski's (Mulberry), Hutch's (Lombardo), the Left Bank (Lake Effect Diner), Lloyd's (Kentucky Greg's Hickory Pit), and congratulations to Grover's (Mooney's) for their victory. Old Man River for me is usually a passage from winter to spring. The first great day, nothing like a great ice cream or milkshake after a great charcoal cooked Sahlen's dog with a walk along the Niagara River. I mentioned that Mooney's may have the best roof decoration, I was wrong, it is the blue whale at Old Man River. From the website:

Have you ever tried our famous Bunny Dog? Its a marinated, grilled carrot, served on a hot dog roll with all your favorite fixings. (Trust us its good!)

If you have a taste for seafood Old Man River Seafood & BBQ Shack is the place to be. OMR offers fresh clams, (raw, steamed or casino), shrimp, and live lobster dinners. In addition OMR now offers BBQ chicken, ribs and pulled pork. Beer and wine is also available at OMRs Seafood Shack.

Located in the heart of Allentown, Gabriel's Gate is one of the original Tift Row Houses, which were built in 1864. We offer a great dining experience, featuring a full menu, with fantastic food.

This is my favorite place in Buffalo to get wings. Gabriel's Gate also was a favorite place for me to go to when at UB. A fellow student named Tiny (you know I never knew his real name!) was the bouncer and man he was a monster. The food maybe great but the website is not so good.
