Week 4 of The UB Weekly Pick 'Em game!

I want to buy a beer for the hotel employee and UB fan who last year tried to keep Coach Pasqualoni from not making his coaching appearance. If you do not remember, Coach P was stuck in a hotel elevator for over an hour last year as Bulls hosted UCONN. It almost worked. UCONN did not have much success moving the football, but then again Buffalo had less success. UB finding themselves down 10-3 until Nuetz hauls in a 45 yard pass taking the ball down to the UCONN 6. Buffalo gets intercepted and Buffalo never sniffed scoring again. The game was 10-3 for what felt like the entire game until UCONN scored late on a 47 yard slant.

The game that many will remember was the January 3, 2009 International Bowl that pitted the Bulls vs. the Huskies. Canadian been never tasted so good as when Ray Anthony Long recovered a botched Peter Fardon punt for a touchdown that tied the game at 10. Buffalo was up at half 20-17. Then it all went downhill. The UCONN band took the field and laid a beat down of epic proportions the likes the people of Toronto have yet to forget. The magical season of 2008. Ah, those were the good days.

Here Buffalo stands at 1 – 2. Many of us had hopes that Buffalo would be sitting at 2-1 and with a realistic chance to either put a scare into UCONN or upset them. With Western Michigan beating UCONN, Big East needs to respect the MAC! Can the MAC make it two in a row? The question is, what UB team will show up to play? The team that battled hard against Georgia or the team from this past week? Also, what players will be in the lineup and which will be in street clothes?

Buffalo is a 16 point road Dog with an over/under of 44. The excitement of picks flying in from the Morgan State win has subsided. 22 picks so far, with 15 for UCONN. We really should not count ChubbyHubby because he would picks the Bulls even if we played 85 Bears. DITKA! So far our the collected picks has this game going to Huskies at 28 - 16. This could be an interesting week of picks. You know what to do…..
