Swimming opened their season with a split squad: a small group at the FGCU Invite in Florida and the rest competed at UB's own WNY Invite.
Rowing opened their year with a few informal races against Canisius and D'Youville.
Volleyball and Women's Soccer each went 1-1 on the weekend. One 1-1 weekend is much different from another. Men's Soccer showed up against an overmatched St. Bonaventure team.
The most impressive showing was Cross Country's performance at the Paul Short Invite in Pennsylvania and subsequent rise in the regional rankings, while the biggest stage was a trio of Bulls from Men's Tennis competing at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa.
