Anthony Johnson had seven receptions for 153 yards and four touchdowns. That alone was enough offense to down Ball State but for good measure KJ Osborn added 16 yard sweep and the Bulls hit two field goals as they keep their hope of a Bowl bid alive.

UB started the scoring with a 33-yard Adam Mitcheson field goal. Then Tyree Jackson would connect with Anthony Johnson twice to give the Bulls a 17-0 at 11:27 mark of the second quarter.

Ball State scored a field goal on a long drive in an attempt to chip away at the lead. Buffalo responded with a third Jackson to Johnson touchdown pass.

Late in the half Jackson was picked off and the Cards made Buffalo pay with a late touchdown to pull within 13 points.

In the third quarter UB Wide Receiver K.J. Osborn took a sweep 16 yards for a score to grow the UB lead. But the Cards struck right back with a 50 yard TD run.

Johnson got his last score of the game on a 56 yard pass before the third quarter was over.

In the fourth Ball State added another score to make it interesting but a late UB field goal was enough to seal the game away.

UB has a match up against Ohio next week. The game will determine if they end the season Bowl eligible or not. If Akron loses on Tuesday then the Bobcats will be playing for the East division title and a chance to play in the MAC Championship game.
