Tom Murphy might not see AAA ball again next year. The Colorado catcher has played in eleven games this season. He is batting .320 with four home runs and eight RBI’s. Basically he is hitting the ball as well right now as he had been for the Albuquerque Isotopes last month.
Murphy has to be considered a guy you’ll see on Colorado’s regualr roster to start next year.
Meanwhile, Steve Geltz seems to be finding his footing in Tampa. In three games since his most recent call up Geltz has only given up one run. He’s brought his ERA down from 6.86 to 6.38.
It’s small, but it’s progress. Hopefully Geltz has moved past some of the issues he had been having earlier this year.
