The Buffalo Bulls have set up a game with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights for the 2018 season. Rutgers plays its home games at High Point Solutions Stadium, located on the university's Piscataway, New Jersey campus. The team is currently coached by Chris Ash.

Rutgers moved over to the Big Ten in 2014. In their inaugural season, they finished 7-5 became bowl-eligible and trounced North Carolina 40-21 in the Quick Lane bowl. Last season, beleaguered before the onset of the season by the arrest of multiple active players on assault-related charges, the Knights went 1-7 in B1G play. After the year both head coach Kyle Flood and athletic director Julie Hermann were fired.

This will be the seventh meeting between the two teams. UB is 1-5 in the previous six games with their sole win coming in 2002.

Buffalo is also playing Army and Temple in out of conference game. The Scarlet Knights will pay UB a $900,000 guarantee, according to a copy of the contract obtained by Gannett New Jersey.

It's a good game for UB to play. The Bulls have a very alrge alumni footprint in the region and Rutgers has the potential to be one of the more mid tier teams in the Big 10. If UB has their game together it's a winnibale game against a Power 5 Conference memeber. At the very least they should have a better shot than they did several years ago when the Bulls played Ohio State.

Outside of UB's three Out of conference games the table to the right does present UB's games in any particular order. It also assumes the MAC's new 12 team format means that UB will be playing all MAC East teams every season and three yet to be determined teams from the MAC West.
