#52 UB Football Game - 1st Half

August 28, 2008, - UB 21, UTEP 14

UB started the season by forcing a 3-and-out. The ensuing punt was mishandled so UB started their first offensive drive of the year in the red zone. UB capitalized on a 15-yard Drew Willy to Bryan Kisabeth TD pass. The defense stayed dominant, with Justin Winters catching a tipped ball for an interception. Later in the quarter Naaman Roosevelt took a WR screen 68-yards for a TD.

In the second quarter, fortunes shifted. UTEP converted three 3rd downs in a 13 play 80-yard TD drive to cut the UB lead to 14-7. After a Drew Willy fumble, UTEP converted on their own short field, with a Trevor Vittatoe TD pass to Jonny Moore.

With 5:23 remaining in the half, UB went on an epic 10 play 89-yard drive capitalized by a beautiful Drew Willy to Gary Rice 34-yard TD pass with only 30 seconds remaining in the half.
