It's Friday, so it's time for another edition of This Weekend in Bull. As promised, things are starting to heat up for UB Athletics, with Track and Field and Men's Tennis starting competition this weekend:
FRIDAY
Swimming and Diving is already in action, with a noon start at Miami University. Expect a writeup this afternoon on the showdown, which will go a long way towards showing us just where the squads sit relative to the MAC.
Track and Field is not far from their season-opener at the famed Armory in New York City. The Gotham Invite is a one-day meet, but we'll have a writeup of that, as well. Don't miss our season preview of the team while you're at it.
Wrestling has the marquee event of the day, returning home to take on Columbia. In UB's fourth-place finish at the NYS Collegiate Wrestling Championships, the Bulls finished just about Columbia, but a clear tier above the Lions in total points. Like many UB home events, you should be able to follow the dual on ESPN3.
SATURDAY
Men's Tennis gets going against Dartmouth. In fall competitions UB topped the Big Green, but who knows. As I wrote in the Men's Tennis Season Preview, hopefully this is the start of a big spring for the Bulls.
SUNDAY
Men's Tennis stays in Dartmouth for a match against Bryant. Should be fun.
As always, check back in throughout the weekend for our coverage, and Sunday night for the wrap-up. Go Bulls!
