Nope
UB Career
Mariah came to Buffalo after having a fantastic high school career where she averaged a double-double in her last three seasons. In her freshman season as a Bull she only saw minimal time but last season is where she shined. Despite starting the season off red hot, Buffalo began to struggle. The defensive identity of the team eroded and the Bulls lost five straight in the backend of January.
Enter: Mariah Suchan.
Coming into February, Suchan’s role only went on the uptrend for the rest of the season. Her post defense became one of the best on the team and her prowess at snatching offensive rebounds became a key for the Bulls to start winning games. Buffalo quickly started to destroy other teams on the rebounding charts thanks partly to Suchan. She became even more of an asset in the MAC Tournament, where she had 11 points and 6 rebounds versus Akron in the semi-finals—A game where virtually everything went wrong for the Bulls. She’d pull in another 9 rebounds the next day to help capture Buffalo’s first-ever MAC title.

2016-17 Outlook
Mariah will still probably come off of the bench this year and that’s fine because it only attests to UB’s depth. As one of the more sound defensive players on the squad, one can expect that she’ll be more consistent and put together an even stronger season than the last. Next time she’s on the floor, pay attention to what she brings to the table.
