The Buffalo Bulls football team was predicted by MAC Coaches to finish in second place in the MAC East in the 2020 season. Four coaches selected the Bulls to win the division. The defending MAC East Champions, the Miami Redhawks, were predicted to win the division with six first place votes. The Coaches Poll does not predict a Championship Game winner.

In 2019, the Bulls finished in a three-way tie for second place with the Ohio Bobcats and the Kent State Golden Flashes. The Bulls lost all three matchups against teams that finished tied or ahead of them in division standings.
