Outlook: One of five returning starters on the defense and - along with Okezie Alozie - the team's leading returning tackler, Franklin in two seasons has gone from backing up a future NFL star to holding down the defense in his own right. Like many of the Bulls last year, he was at his best against Akron, but also put in solid days in losses against Army and Baylor, and in the season finale against Massachusetts.
Franklin worked his way onto the field as a freshman, and as a result has 10 starts and 21 appearances under his belt with two full years of eligibility left. Expect him to place a big role in the UB defense in 2015.
