"I transferred from WVU because at the time I was being used solely at NG and felt like I can do more," McDougle said. "After playing in a system – and there’s been a lot of coaching turnover – where I lined up at d-end, 3-tech, and NG. I’ve realized NG is the position I was made to play. Whether it’s bull rushing, crossing face, or lining up at the 2i I give those interior linemen hell and live in the backfield."
McDougle is a popular name in the portal for coaches, picking up offers from Purdue, Syracuse, Baylor, FIU, Illinois, Western Kentucky, Buffalo, Utah State, Indiana, Old Dominion, Fresno State and Florida Atlantic. He’s also received interest from West Virginia, Troy, Hawaii Purdue, Utah and Texas.
The Florida native will graduate this summer and said he’s still evaluating his options. He did say that he’d like to play in a 3-4 defense."
