If the Buffalo Bulls are going to get back to a bowl game it will be Kyle Vantrease who takes them there.
Vantrease has started both games since UB starter Matt Myers was knocked out of the game during UB’s 34-20 loss to Miami in week 5 of the season.
Today Buffalo coach Lance Leipold told the Media that Myers, a West Seneca product, will not see the field again this season.
Kyle Vantrease will be the starting quarterback going forward and true freshman Trevor Bycznski is backing him up. Also in the Mix is Dominic Johnson who entered the year as a quarterback before being transitioned to receiver.
Player | Cmp | Att | Pct | Yds | Y/A | TD | Int | Rate |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Matt Myers | 49 | 105 | 46.67% | 543 | 5.17 | 6 | 4 | 84.4 |
Kyle Vantrease | 33 | 51 | 64.71% | 292 | 5.73 | 2 | 0 | 114.1 |
Vantrease is 1-1 as UB’s starter and has been efficient, but the Bulls offense has struggled to put points on the board, scoring just three regulation touchdowns in their last two games.
UB hosts Central Michigan on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at UB Stadium.
