With permission, Rich Miller

For years the UB defense has always been able to count on a strong set of linebackers. And Rich Miller looks like a fine addition to a group which has included Khalil Mack and Khalil Hodge.

Miller is a three star prospect from Martin Luther King High School in Detroit, Michigan. He

verbally committed back to Buffalo back in June, from the time of UB’s first offer he and Coach Simpson had a good deal of contact.

During his visits to campus he spent a lot of time with the Patterson brothers, which is good considering UB Freshman James Patterson looks to be one of next star linebackers.

Buffalo’s weight training and workouts were a huge factor in Millers decision. Miller told Bull Run that “It’s the most important part of the game aside from the mental aspect”.

Miller chose Buffalo over offers from other MAC teams as well as a few programs from the American Athletic Conference, the Atlantic Coast Conference. He also had an offer from Cornell

A great get, and a player I expect to see the field some next year given the NCAA rule changes around red shirts, and the natural talent he is bringing.
