Khalil Mack - Another week another shout out from Silver and Black Pride for Khalil Mack!

Raiders preseason week 2 Ballers & Busters vs Vikings - Silver And Black Pride
No surprise here. After taking the Top Baller spot last week with just two series on the field, he finds his way near the top of this list again while playing just 28 snaps (38%). On the very first play of the game, he had a tackle on the running back for a loss of three. He teamed up for a tackle for loss on the next drive as well. Then he teamed up for two more tackles in the run game on the next drive as well. And he did it with the Vikings were double teaming him a good portion of the day.

James Starks - Not great numbers for Starks this past weekend but he did take the ball in for a two point conversion and he is recognized as part of the best backfield duo in the NFL. And with Green Bay's number one receiver, Jordy Nelson, going down for the year.

Consider this: They're the only twosome who played together the last two seasons and totaled more than 3,000 rushing yards where the No. 2 back -- in this case Starks -- had at least 800 of those yards, according to ESPN Stats & Information. So if the Green Bay Packers want to rely more on their running game to make up for the season-ending knee injury that Jordy Nelson sustained in Sunday's preseason game at Pittsburgh, then coach Mike McCarthy and play-caller Tom Clements certainly have that option.

Branden Oliver - First... What a steal Oliver was for the Bolts. He is competing for the second or third spot on the depth chart but he is hardly costing San Diego anything.

Second... It's possible that Oliver may push for a number on spot.

As for Gordon, he averaged just 1.8 yards per carry against the Cowboys before sitting out the Cardinals game with an ankle injury. The injury is considered minor, but it's still disconcerting for Chargers fans who grew tired of dealing with Ryan Mathews' nagging injuries.

Mathews, incidentally, has averaged 7.4 yards per carry and scored a touchdown in limited preseason action with the Eagles.

As for San Diego, the team's most impressive back to date has been Branden Oliver. The Buffalo Bowling Ball has scored a touchdown in each of each of the first two preseason contests and is averaging a respectable 4.4 yards per carry.

Kristjan Sokoli - Sokoli looked really shaky in Seattle's first preseason game but he showed real flashes in game two.

Sokoli shows flashes of potnetial
Not only does Sokoli manhandle the defensive linemen in from of him, but he looked faster than the RB once in space. It is too bad that Rawls forgot to catch the ball, because this was going to be a massive gain.

Let’s face it, guys that big aren’t supposed to be able to move like that. That also wasn’t the only play where his athleticism was easy to spot.

He did have a few bad mistakes but thats to be expected from a rookie changing positions.

Josh Thomas - Thomas is not going to make it easy for the Minnesota Coaching Staff to let him go.

He came in to camp very late and few expected him to be noticed too much. But the defensive back has buckled down bought into the system and started making plays. In a storm delay lengthened game this past weekend Thomas led the Vikings in tackles and mercifully ended the game with a late interception.

The Daily Norseman has Thomas as a Buy in their weekly stock report.

Josh Thomas. Thomas had a team-leading six tackles and a merciful game-ending interception. He is really starting to make a push after having two relatively quiet games.

He is also doing what every bubble player has to do... Taking special teams seriously.

Thomas, 26, was signed to a one-year, veteran minimum deal on the same day cornerback Jabari Price's two-game suspension was handed down just before Vikings training camp began in late July. While a spot on the 53-man roster is far from guaranteed, Thomas has dug in as a reserve corner and special teams contributor who helped spring rookie Stefon Diggs for a 62-yard punt return in the Aug. 9 preseason game.

Steven Means - Means is still not seeing a lot of action because of the Injury.
