Buffalo Lightweights ranked #6

Way to go UB Rowing!
Way to go UB Rowing!

Often times we don't do enough here to cover things other than football and basketball but when a UB squad is ranked sixth nationally in preseason polls it should get it's own piece of real estate on the front page.

One of UB's best sports over the past few years is not even in the MAC, its in the Colonial Athletics Association.

The Bulls rowing team on the CAA two years ago and placed second last season. This year they should be right in the mix once more. Before they get to the CAA they have already started to generate some press, their "lightweight women’s varsity eight" is ranked sixth in the nation by USRowing.

NCAA Varsity Lightweight is capped at 130 pounds for Women. The Bulls received 74 votes and are the only team from the Colonial Athletic Association to appear in the rankings.
