99 for 99 - #26 - The Bulls Clinch The MAC East

99 for 99 takes a look at the 99 biggest moments in UB Football history during this season, the 99th season of UB Football. These moments are not in any order, however the top 10 moments have been saved for last.

November 21, 2008 - Buffalo 40, Bowling Green 34 (OT) - Buffalo Wins the MAC East in Dramatic Fashion.

In this edition of 99 for 99, I share how the Bulls journey to the MAC championship wrecked havoc on my travel planning. Then I let the voice of the Buffalo Bulls, Paul Peck, guide us through Buffalo clinching the MAC.

2,500 miles away, mid-week MAC games mean games start at 4pm. In a world before the free MAC-Stream, before ESPN3...the best I could get was begging a bar to turn one tv from NFL, Lakers, Clippers, Kings, and Major College Football, so I could see my Buffalo Bulls.

They are moments I'll never forget. I watched Buffalo beat Ohio at the ESPN Zone in Disneyland. I "saw" us beat Akron via hitting refresh on the ESPN box score while driving home on the 5. I did this for 4 nervous overtimes. I could care less about the 2008 election results, I was happy I was able to see the Bulls on tv at home.

Finally, I purchased the stream for the Bowling Green game, but missed the 1st quarter while stuck in traffic after getting lost trying to find the best wings in Orange County. The wings were not good, and the game wasn't going good either. To top things off the stream was bad, and I had to mostly rely on Paul Peck.

There will never be another 2008.
