The last time UB went after twin brothers it worked out pretty well, right? SO why not go back to the well and try again.
Buffalo did just that when they pulled Jaillen and Quillen Howze from Clinton Township in Michigan. The brothers play for Chippewa Falls where they have been among the areas best players.
As a Junior Jaillen racked up 32 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles in an injury shortened five game season. He was new to the system after transferring from Mott High School, but quickly made himself a key part of the defense.
Quillen played both sides of the ball last season
As a receiver on offense he had 29 catches for 377 yards and 2 touchdowns. On the other side of the ball, playing cornerback, he had 22 tackles, 10 pass breakups, and 1 interception.
Jaillen had offers from Toledo, Kent State, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, and Western Michigan. All MAC schools, most of the very close to home. His brother had all those offers plus offers from Michigan State, Kentucky, Missouri, Pittsburgh and Minnesota.
It’s very possible that without the injury Jaillen would have also had P5 offers, Buffalo is getting a very solid pair of players.
