Buffalo’s offense is going to have to find a new number one receiver and the defense will have to replace the most explosive Buffalo pass rusher this side of Khalil Mack.
Antonio Nunn and Malcom Koonce have both reportedly opted to enter the 2021 NFL draft along with running back Jaret Patterson.
Nunn took over as Buffalo’s number one receiver in 2009 and even though UB was known for it’s running game, Nunn’s ability to win the 50/50 ball became a feature of the UB attack. In an abbreviated 2020 season Nunn was not far off a 1,000 yard season pace.
Koonce became the leader that the defensive front needed this season. Over his career, Koonce racked up 22.5 tackles for loss and 17 sacks. This season, in just six games, Koonce manged 6.5 tackles for loss and five sacks.
Koonce is a senior but along with every player in the country this year he could have returned due to the covid shortened season.
