It’s only game two and it’s maybe the most important game of the season. A Buffalo win puts them one up on Miami with a head to head win and will likely keep them one game in front of Ohio.

And it’s probably going to see Patterson move up a bit more in the record books.

Patterson (2949) is 73 yards behind Alan Bell (3022) for the all time mark among UB running backs, if he manages that this next game then he will be in spitting distance of James Starks (3140). Of course catching Brenden Oliver (4011) in this shortened season would require nothing but 180 yard plus games from now on.

Kevin Marks (1912), meanwhile, is inching up on O.D. Underwood (2062). One bt running game from Marks is probably not enough, but 150 is not a crazy number and Marks has put in those kinds of numbers in the past.

Here’s one for you... KVT is only two touchdowns away from catching the great Willie Evans to tie for number 26 all time at Buffalo.

Next week we’ll focus on the receivers...
