The last week of June was a good one for the Bulls.
They secured verbal commitments tight end Trevor Borland, guard Deondre Dorion, and Safety Lonnie rice all within seven days.

Rice is an athletic quarterdeck and a safety who thrives on contact. He was sitting on offers from Army, Morgan St, Air Force, Navy, Albany, RMU, Fordham, and Sacred Heart before verbally committing to Buffalo.
Brian Borland was the UB coach with the most contact, and the one who Rice himself called on in an intervew with pafootballnews.
Borland seems to envision rice as a hybrid safety / linbacker who will rove around the defensive backfield depending on the pre-snap situation.
I know that often people look for a program to take recruits sitting on multiple P5 offers, and I’m no exception to that.
Still, pulling in a player with offers from every service academy, means your generally getting a kid who has his head on right and can develop well in the program.
