The Buffalo Bulls Mens Basketball team took on their second Big four rival in three days and were victorious, downing the Niagara Purple Eagles by a score of 72-92.

The win sets up a final Big4 game against Saint Bonaventure, and a potential sweep for Buffalo over the other Western New York division one basketball programs.

Things started slowly for the heavily favored Bulls. Marcus Hammond made back to back baskets for the Purple Eagles to give them a 10-5 lead. Buffalo battled back to tie the game, until the half way point of the first half when UB started a run that would put Niagara down by 14 and NU never really recovered.

The score was 47 to 29 at the half, and despite NU finding their footing in the second half UB went punch for punch with the Purple Eagles.

The Bulls, who have struggled from distance this season, went 16-31 from beyond the arc. Jayvon Graves went 6-9. Three UB players ended the day in double figures, with Graves notching a career high 22 points. Also with more than ten points was Jeenathan Williams (19), Josh Mballa (12), and Gabe Grant (12).

UB wraps up their non conference schedule on the 30th at home against Saint Bonaventure. Tipoff is at 7:00pm.
