One of the things UB has done really well over the past half half dozen seasons or so is to schedule well in the non conference slate so that they can hit MAC play as a battle tested unit.
This year will be no different.
”Our staff did a great job putting together a schedule that will challenge our team, but more importantly it will prepare us for another difficult run through MAC play,” — Nate Oats.
Among their games, the Bulls will be heading to West Virginia, Syracuse, and Marquette. These are all teams that will compete for top 25 spots this year.
UB kicks off the season with a game against St. Francis (PA). a squad from the NEC, on November 6th. That game will be played at 4:00 pm prior the UB football contest against Kent State, scheduled for 7:30 pm.
Buffalo then will go on the road to play West Virginia (11/9) and Southern Illinois (11/12).
In an unusual twist, the Bulls will play SIU twice this season, the Salukis will come to Buffalo December 15.
After the two game swing UB has a pait at home against Dartmouth (11/21) and Marist (11/24). These are UB’s home games which are part of the Belfast Hall of Fame Classic.
After the home sweep UB will take to the road again, all the way to Ireland. Following the game against the Red Foxes, The Bulls first game will be against UW-Milwaukee in the opening game and then either San Francisco or Stephen F. Austin in the second game.
Returning from Europe UB will host Le Moyne College (12/5) and then go into Olean to play St. Bonaventure (12/8).
UB completes the non conference slate with a three-game road trip at Syracuse (12/18), Marquette (12/21), and Canisius (12/29).
