Anthony Johnson and Khalil Hodge have been named preseason All-Americans by Athlon Sports

If you had any lingering doubts that this years UB team will be one of the most talented of the D1 era, two things.

First - Shame on you....

Second - Check this out

Anthony Johnson and Khalil Hodge were both named preseason All-Americans by Athlon Sports. On each side of the ball UB has a star who, if they play well, have the potential to be drafted.

I think the last time we were in that position was 2013. While Only Mack got the call, he and Oliver were on a lot of radars.

Johnson lit up the field last season. He totaled 76 catches for 1,356 and a school-record 14 touchdowns. Nationally his performance more than stood up. He was ranked second in the nation in receiving yards per game (113.0) and third in receiving touchdowns (14).

He did this with three different quarterbacks over the course of the season.

Khalil Hodge continued the tradition of stud UB linebackers names “Khalil”.

The name and uniform are bound to draw comparisons to Khalil Mack, but Hodge does more than enough to make a name for himself. Hodge has led the nation over the last tow seasons in tackles (277).

Last year he set a modern school record with 154 stops. That was good for second in the nation.
