This season the Bull Run editors are going to try something new.
We’re not going to get cute with the off season countdown. No “road to Buffalo” maps, no Jeopardy questions, and no sorting the players by name, age, or weight.
We grabbed the roster, grabbed the schedule, and all agreed just to have fun with it.
So, without further ado, let’s start our countdown with an opponent preview.
Delaware:
UB’s home opener, and FCS opponent this year, is Delaware State. This is not the Blue Hens of the CAA, but the Hornets, who play in the MEAC.
History:
The Bulls have only played one game ever against Delaware State, a victory back in Division IA era.
It was an odd victory as the Bulls were outgained 479-119 yards in total offense by Delaware State. But on 119 yards of offense UB put up 40 points. UB forced six turnovers and never gave the ball away.
This Years Team:
Delaware State alumnus and NFL guard Rod Milstead is taking over the hornets this season.
After eight years in the NFL Milstead took up coaching. First as an assistant at his high school, where he helped them win state championship game, and then around the FCS and High School circuit until being hired by DSU.
