After a 108-82 drubbing of the Ohio University Bobcats, UB is one game away from secure a conference regular Mid American Conference season title. the 108 points of offense is a record for UB in MAC play and the did it in front of a packed house at Alumni Arena.
UB got off to a luke warm start, and Ohio pressed the advantage early. Half way through the first frame the Bobcats led UB by a score of 26-21. But a quick UB run tied the score at 31 when the Bulls offense exploded.
Over the course of the final six minutes of the first half UB scored 25 points, taking a 56-41 lead into the break. Early in the second half Ohio closed the gap to 12 points, but that’s as close as they got.
Nick Perkins scored 21 points, Dontay Caruthers poured in 19 more, in all, 12 different Bulls scored on the night.
Buffalo’s last home game remaining is coming up on Tuesday against Akron. It’s senior night ( Wes Clark, Ikenna Smart, and Gabe Agorioge ) and UB can get a school record 14th home win. A win would also seal the MAC regular season title for Buffalo.
