After a couple of weeks whereUB played closegames, including their worst loss of the year, UB came home and seemed to recapture the energy they had early in the conference slate. The result was an 84-72 win over Kent State.
UB was led by Jeremy Harris, who dropped 24 points. The Bulls rolled up an 18 point halftime lead. Senior Wes Clark was also big for the Bull, scoring 19 points. UB’s two stars of the night combined shooot almost 59% on the night.
Six minutes into the game Kent led 10-9, but a bug run put the bulls up double digits, they would be up by more than 10 points the rest of the game.
While the Bulls led by double figures throughout the second half Kent did slowly chip away lead and outscored UB 45-39 in the second half. During the season UB has struggled to keep up their defensive inensity in the second half
On a final note the refs were brutal down the stretch. After the officals handed ub the ball to inbound Buffalo struck quick for two points. But the refs took them off the board as Kent was “not ready”. When UB coach Nate Oats spoke up they slapped Buffalo with a technical foul.
UB’s back in action on Friday, at home, against Bowling Green. If the Bulls win they clinch the MAC East title.
