Ohio made it interesting, and came closer to downing UB than any other MAC team this season. In the end, however, UB was able to down the Bobcats and walk out of Athens Ohio with a 73-66 win.

I’m not one to blame the refs, because in general I don’t think the refs try to “beat a team”, but in this game the Bulls guards were in fould trouble from the middle of the first half on. Ohio got lucky bounces off the official, obvious travles were missed, and at one critical point UB was fould for a clean rebound.

Again... Not saying there was a fix, but the refs were bad.

While the Bulls never trailed in the game they did have to endure several Ohio runs, runs which brought the game to wining two possessions. It was not until the Bulls got hot from the free throw line, in the final 90 seconds, that the victory was secured.

Perkins, Harris and Smart were the heroes of the day. Perkins reached 1,004 career points, Smart had a double-double with 10 points and a career-high 14 rebounds. Harris also chipped in his own double double, 17 points and 10 boards.

The Bulls are nearly half way through MAC play and still undefeated. They hold a 3.5 game lead in the east and a 1.5 game lead over Toledo overall. UB takes toe the road again on Tuesday when the play the Flashes in Kent.
