The Buffalo Bulls, for the first time in their history, are 6-0 in conference play.
It was probably their most difficult MAC game of the year, but in the end UB’s depth and pace was to much for the Western Michigan Broncos and Buffalo prevailed 84-74. It’s UB’s first win in Kalamazoo since 2011
CJ Massinburg and Jeremy Harris each dropped 20 points, and Nick Perkins added 18. Wes Clark struggled from three but still managed to contribute 17 points on the evening.
UB Started out strong, surging to an 12 point lead 13 minutes into the first half. After a timeout WMU stormed back. The Broncos cut UB’s 28-16 lead down to a narrow 36-34 half time advantage.
A minute into the second half Western took the lead on a Josh Davis three Point Jumper and either led the game or were tied with Buffalo for the next 6 minutes. It was not until Jeremy Harris drained a three point jumper that UB would reclaim the lead for good.
UB eventually built a 12 point lead, and from there slowed the game down a bit to hold of WMU.
Buffalo returns home for their next game, Tuesday night against Eastern Michigan.
