Buffalo Bulls Run All Over Colgate

NCAA Football: Buffalo at Army Danny Wild-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bulls jumped all over their FCS opponent this week building up a 27 point half time lead. They took their foot off the gas in the second half and cruised to a 33-10 win over the Colgate Raiders.

UB came out on offense with a 13 play touchdown drive which featured 12 called runs and a pass interference call against Colgate. By the time the first Quarter was over UB had run 17 times against just 7 passes, and had built a 20 to 3 lead.

They would add ten more points in the second quarter and thanks to a missed Colgate field goal the Bulls went into the half with a 30-3 lead.

But the lopsided score hid the fact that Colgate was running the ball effectively against UB. And in the second half Colgate took their second possession of the half 76 yards for a touchdown, converting two fourth downs along the way.

UB would add one more field goal, late in the fourth, and stuff Colgate as the clock expired.
