Felisha Legette-Jack and UB Women’s Basketball jumped into the recent recruiting surge this afternoon, with the reigning MAC Tournament champions gaining a pledge from three-star post player Lawrencia Moten.

Moten, who stands at 6-3 and recently finished her high school career at Bullis High School in Potomac, MD, looks to be a big get for Legette-Jack. A three-star recruit by ESPN, Moten is the daughter of Lawrence Moten, the all-time leading scorer in Syracuse Men’s Basketball history, and was a McDonald’s All-America nominee this past season.
I’m a little uncertain of Lawrencia’s specific timeline, as it seems she lost her senior year at Bullis to an ACL injury, and ESPN’s recruiting page lists her as playing at the Blair Academy in Blairstown, NJ. It seems that Moten will join the Bulls not this coming season, but as a 2017 recruit. She was, though, highlighted last fall by ESPN as one of eight notable then-unsigned seniors.
In addition to Bullis, Moten has also played AAU ball for the Fairfax Stars. If anyone finds a highlight video, drop it in the comments and we’ll embed it here.
