The Bulls have not managed to defeat Ball State since the 2008 MAC championship game. Can Lance Leipold end the drought?

Series History

The Bulls are 1-8 all time versus Ball State. Two of the games were played back in the 1960's the rest have happened since UB joined the MAC. Buffalo's lone win came in 2008, when they defeated 12-0 Ball State in the MAC Championship game.

Last Meeting

Bulls muted in Muncie: Ball State 28 - Buffalo 25 - Bull Run
If a team is trailing by four with minutes remaining and they convert not one, but two fourth and longs then they deserve to win the game. Conversely if your defense gives up two fourth and longs then you deserve to lose. Guess which team Buffalo was?

The Bulls had came back after falling behind 21-7. Solid defense carried them while the offense scored 18 straight points. A missed extra point on the first forced the Bulls to attempt two point conversions on the rest, that was the difference.

Rankings Composite Ranking - 104
Big Names

Defense: First-team All-MAC linebacker Sean Wiggins is a big threat.

Offense: Sophomore quarterback Riley Neal, threw for 2,276 yards, rushed for 399 yards and accounted for 18 TD's last season.

Key Matchup Buffalo's secondary needs to lock to the Ball State receivers so that the front seven can watch the run and contain Neal.
Prediction
Buffalo beats the Cards in a close one at home.
