Ernest Jackson and the Ottawa REDBLACKS win the Grey Cup

Nick Turchiaro-USA TODAY Sports

For a short time it seemed like the Calgary Stampeeders were on the verge of a miracle comeback and CFL Crown. But in overtime UB Alumnus Ernest Jackson made a juggling catch in overtime which proved to be the winner.

It was Jackson's sixth reception and first touchdown of the game, it took him to 96 yards which led all receivers.

Ottawa jumped out to a 27-10 lead midway through the third quarter but Bo Levi led the Stampeeders on a comback that would culminate with a game field goal which tied the game at the ten second mark.

On the first drive of overtime a juggling 19-yard touchdown catch by Ernest Jackson in overtime gave Ottawa a six point lead. The REDBLACKS defense held on the ensuing Calgary possession.

Also on the roster for Ottawa is Jake Silas. Meaning two Bulls are getting some nice jewelry north of the Border this season.
