UB Alumnus and journeyman Cornerback Josh Thomas will get another shot with the NFL this summer. It's being reported by the Daily Norseman that Thomas was signed by the Vikings as they scramble to find fill in bodies for Jabari Price.
Minnesota Vikings Sign Josh Thomas - Daily Norseman
In the wake of the Jabari Price suspension, the Minnesota Vikings have decided to use their last roster spot on another player at the cornerback position. The team has just announced the signing of cornerback Josh Thomas.
He was a fifth-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in the 2011 NFL Draft, and has spent time with the Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets, and Detroit Lions as well.
Thomas, who played with the Bulls through 2010, played for some years with Carolina before bouncing around the league last year. He played a few weeks for Seattle, New York, and Detroit.
Last season Thomas was a victim of the last preseason cut in Carolina. He was picked up by Seattle as a depth player to cover for Jeremy Lane who was placed on the injured reserve/designated-to-return. When Lane returned Thomas was the odd man out but quickly signed with New York. After iPadGate and his release from New York he was picked up by Detroit and then released after the season.

TDN makes reference to his lost playbook in New York, hardly something a player wants to be known for but in his defense Thomas did not leave the laptop lying around. It was secured in luggage which was locked in his car. Unfortunately for Thomas someone broke into his car, taking the items.
