Behind Enemy Lines: Buffalo Bulls - Duquesne Dukes Media Coverage

Behind Enemy Lines is a weekly post during football season that explores what's going on in opponent-land in the run up to the game.

One more day!

Tomorrow, we get football. Today, we just get a peek into the Duquesne side of things in advance of tomorrow's kick off. Each week, in Behind Enemy Lines, we'll take a look at how UB's game is being covered by the opponent's outlets. It's slim pickings for Week 1 and Duquesne, but it will pick up with other opponents.

We start with our Blog Swap and Last Bull In partner, Duquesne blog We Wear The Ring. A part of the Fansided network, We Wear the Ring is the premier Duquesne sports blog

As lopsided as the top 25 losses were (notably the 70-13 beating that Baylor put on them), this team will be a formidable opponent for the Dukes, who will be reaching to play at this level.

I promise you. No one is more surprised that I’m heading to Buffalo this weekend to watch a Duquesne football road game than I am. So how did my opinion turn around?

The local newspapers in Pittsburgh have several teams to cover before they even start to think about Duquesne - just among colleges Pitt, Penn State, and West Virginia get higher billing - but they do pay some lip service with cursory season previews. No one is really breaking down the game in any depth or saying anything about Buffalo:

Finally, Duquesne's game notes for the matchup. Very little about Buffalo here, but if you want to be not-totally-lost as you watch tomorrow, here's a good place to pick up some key names and happenings on the bluff.
