Jon Mestas - Windy City Thunderbolts

Mestas is playing well with The Thunderbolts, who are not affiliated with a major league team who took Mestas in the third round of the Frontier League draft with the 30th overall pick. The League, based in Sauget, Illinois, is an independent baseball organization representing teams throughout the Midwestern United States. The league was formed in 1993, and is the oldest currently running independent league.

Through 22 games Mestas is batting 302 with 8 runs, five RBI's and a home run.

Jason Kanzler - Ceder Rapids Kernels

Kanzler is having himself a solid season with the Kernels, a Class A affiliated with the Minnesota Twins.

At the Midwest League's All-Star break, the halfway point of the Kernels' season, Kanzler is hitting .293 with an .813 OPS. He has five doubles, five triples and one night after his ejection he hit his seventh home run of the year. He has also stolen 10 bases.

Mike Burke - Baltimore

Burke has not yet been assigned to a team but he is looking sharp in Baltimore colors..

Tyler Mautner - Elizibethtown Twins

Mautner has now played three games for the Twins, a Rookie-level team in the Appalachian League who have been a farm team of the Minnesota Twins since 1974. He is only 1-9 at the plate but has been walked three times, giving him an OBP of 467.

Tom Murphy - Tulsa Drillers

Last season Murphy was a Topps Class A All-Star before moving up to the AA Drillers, an affiliate of Colorado. Murphy was having a decent season until he hurt his shoulder last month. He is still not back but the minor injury has not soured many scouts wh ostill think he is one of the most promising catchers in the Rockies farm system.

The Double-A Tulsa catcher left his May 15 game after one trip to the plate with shoulder stiffness. The 23-year-old Murphy has shown his typical blend of patience and power in the Texas League, batting .213/.321/.415 with five homers and 14 walks in 27 games.

Steve Geltz - Durham Bulls

Geltz is still serving a suspension for an undisclosed drug policy violation. Durham's Geltz suspended 50 games Geltz is the 23rd player to be suspended for violating the Minor League drug program in 2014.
