Clemson Quarterback Chad Kelly ends up at East Mississippi Community College

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Well that's the end of that....

Chad Kelly, the nephew of Buffalo Bills legend Jim Kelly and all around sideline distraction has decided to take his talents to East Mississippi Community College. Presumably with Kelly being booted after the spring there were few FBS teams jumping at the chance to bring him in this season.

Kelly's problems at Clemson started before he even set foot on campus. Before enrolling he called out Clemson's then second string quarterback on twitter. It was the beginning of a rocky tenure that ended after this seasons spring game.

Clemson dismissed Kelly because of conduct detrimental to the program. Head coach Dabo Swinney said in a statement that Kelly "has had a pattern of behavior that is not consistent with the values of our program."

Shortly after being dismissed Kelly tweeted "Roll Tide", then took down the tweet and enrolled at a JUCO Community College an hour west of Tuscaloosa. It could be that Kelly has been given the impression that a good season on the field, off the field, and in the classroom will help him find his way into the SEC.

Hopefully this is a case of Kelly "Hitting Bottom" and waking up to the fact that nobody is talented enough to disregard those around them. He has the talent to play but right now he is walking proof that your attitude is as important as your god given gifts.
