Alex Wood - All of the editors are somewhat impressed with how Wood kept the team from packing it in completely. If Kent's equipment truck had arrived he would have likely finished his interim coaching stint with a winning record. John thinks he might be better suited to be a quarterbacks coach in the new regime.
Lou Tepper - Despite the headache this might give some people both John and Tim would love to see Tepper stick around so long as it's as the teams Linebacking coach and not a Defensive Coordinator. UB has had good linebackers beyond Khalil Mack under Tepper.
Both Lee Skinner and Adam Redden played very well and UB has a good group of talented young players. Tepper has proven he can make good linebackers.
Conrad has of course voiced a stern objection to keeping Tepper.
Adam Shorter / Matt Simon - The transition from Branden Oliver to Anthone Taylor makes the editors think there is something about the chemistry between Simon and Shorter. Though Conrad thinks it a lot more Shorter than Simone which might be a solid take given Quinn's acumen for offensive lines.
He's not listed here, but Matt is also in favor of keeping Strength and Conditioning coach Greg Pyszczynski.
We've been told from a source that Simon and Cosh are likely to stay on the new staff, though possibly in new roles.
Before we could get this published, the new staff has been announced. I put Chris Cosh in DL but also LB, because he's worked with linebackers at all of his past stops before Buffalo. Thanks to a twitter follower for pointing that out:
